DESCRIPTION:Jeff Montag returns in March to run the topic of "Swarm Construction and Logistics" and will base his presentation on Tom Seeley’s book; Honeybee Democracy. \nWhile this discussion will provide some insight on the topic of swarms\, it IS NOT about swarm prevention\, but rather; the miraculous what\, why and how of the Honeybee swarm. \n\nSwarm purpose.\nHow the bees determine when it’s time to swarm.\nThe make-up of a normal spring swarm.\nThe logistics involved in the swarm process.\n\nBy gaining a better understanding of swarms and swarming\, you will become better at your management and control. \n-- \nSIBA Meetings occur the 3rd Thursday of each month through the year with topics being added to the event ahead of each meeting. Meetings are held at 6:30pm at the Sunman American Legion unless otherwise stated ahead of time in the newsletter and website. We're also looking for volunteers to help make the club GO.
