DESCRIPTION:Jared works for the IDNR Division of Entomology & Plant Pathology as the Apiary Specialist & Nursery Inspector. \nJared has been discussing the restructuring of the division and the changes they are making to the apiary program. He's also been talking about the Northern Giant Hornet and Tropilaelaps mite. He's working on trying to get the USDA survey data condensed and getting new beekeepers into the mix for taking samples. The topic Jared will cover for April is still being discussed\, so stop back here later for more information. \n--- \nIf you've missed a previous newsletter\, find them all archived here. \nSIBA Meetings occur the 3rd Thursday of each month through the year with topics being added to the event ahead of each meeting. Meetings are held at 6:30pm at the Sunman American Legion unless otherwise stated ahead of time in the newsletter and website. We're also looking for volunteers to help make the club GO.
