Looking for additional opportunities to learn science-based information about beekeeping? Escape the heat and head north to Michigan for the Heartland Apicultural Society's conference! This year's conference is being held at the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, MI. There are keynote speakers, multiple breakout sessions on practical topics, hands-on opportunities in multiple apiaries, anatomy and diagnostic lab workshops, and social activities! Some sessions require advanced sign-up, so make sure to register soon if you are interested!
Keynote speakers include:
- Dr. Jeff Harris - Mississippi State University
- Dr. Robyn Underwood - Penn State University
- Dr. Reed Johnson - The Ohio State University
- Dr. Jennifer Tsuruda - University of Tennessee ➡️ check out and share my FB reel about my talks: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Dkbrk6k2X/)
Thanks to generous donations to MSU Extension to support Veterans and active-duty military members, U.S. Veterans, Reservists, Active Duty, and National Guard members of the U.S. Armed Forces can receive a discount of $25 per day to attend the conference. This discount doesn't extend to family members.
We have affordable dorm rooms across the street from the conference center – they include all-you-can-eat meals in the dining hall and have air conditioning! If you prefer, there is also lodging right at the Kellogg Conference Center on campus!
