Our next Field Day will be held Saturday, July 18 at Jim's Bee Barn, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Field Days are held the Saturday following each monthly meeting and are a great opportunity to gain hands-on beekeeping experience, ask questions, and learn alongside fellow members in the apiary.

This month, David S. Broxterman will demonstrate how and why to combine hives as we begin preparing colonies for fall. We'll break at noon for our traditional pitch-in lunch, (bring a dish, appetizer or dessert to share) followed by more time working bees in the afternoon.

Rachel and Margaret will lead short weed walks around the apiary, highlighting common plants and discussing their value to honey bees and other pollinators.

Whether you're a new beekeeper or have years of experience, we hope you'll join us for a fun and educational day!
