For August, SIBA member and Jump Starter recipient, June Brackett will walk us through her first year of beekeeping. This will be a great meeting for newer beekeepers!

My name is June Brackett and I am from Bright, IN. I was chosen to represent SIBA club in the 2026 Jump Starter program. It has been a year this month that I attended my first SIBA meeting.  I have learned so much this first year as a new Beekeeper, and then some! I can't wait to see what my bees do in the following months.  My husband and I harvested our first super of honey on July 27th.

SIBA Meetings occur the 3rd Thursday of each month through the year with topics being added to the event ahead of each meeting. Meetings are held at 6:30pm at the Sunman American Legion unless otherwise stated ahead of time in the newsletter and website.
